Short answers to the things people ask most. If yours is not here, contact us — it is the fastest way to get it added.
Are the printables really free? ▾
Yes — every page on PrintablePond is free to download and print. There is no account to create, no watermark on the file, no trial, and no page where the price appears later. The site is paid for by advertising, which is why you will see ads around the printables and never on them.
Do I need to sign up or give my email? ▾
No. Click the download button and the PDF saves straight away. There is an optional email list if you want to hear when new sets land, but nothing on the site is locked behind it.
What file format are the printables? ▾
All of them are PDFs, built for US Letter and designed with margins so they also print correctly on A4. A PDF prints the same on every device, which is why we use it rather than an image.
Can I print them on A4 paper? ▾
Yes. Turn on "Fit to page" (sometimes called "Fit to printable area" or "Shrink oversized pages") in your print dialog and the page scales to about 97% — a difference nobody can see, and everything lands on the paper.
Why is my printout cut off at the edges? ▾
Almost always one of three settings: "Fit to page" is off, the scale is set below 100%, or the printer is still in landscape from a previous job. Turning Fit on fixes it in nearly every case.
What paper should I use? ▾
For crayons and colored pencils, ordinary copy paper is genuinely fine. For markers, use 65lb / 176gsm cardstock or slide a spare sheet underneath. For gel pens or watercolor, go heavier still. Wall art looks best on matte photo paper or heavy card.
Can I use these in my classroom? ▾
Yes, and please do. You may print as many copies as you need for your own class, homeschool group, library session or childcare setting, at no cost and with no permission needed.
Can I sell what I print, or sell the files? ▾
No. The printables are free for personal and classroom use, but you may not sell them, sell prints of them, or redistribute the files themselves — including on other download sites, in paid bundles, or as part of a product. If you want to share them, share a link to the page instead. The full terms are in our license.
Can I share a printable with a friend or on social media? ▾
Please share the link to the page rather than the file. It costs you nothing, it means they always get the current version, and it is what keeps the site free for everyone.
Can I print the whole set at once? ▾
Yes. Every collection has a "Download all" button that gives you the entire set in one go — either as a single PDF containing every page, or as a ZIP of the separate files.
Do you add new printables? ▾
Every week. The newest pages appear on the homepage under "Fresh from the pond", and each category page can be sorted by newest first.
Something did not print correctly — what should I do? ▾
Tell us. Every file is checked before it goes up, so a page that will not print properly is news to us as well. Send us the name of the printable and what happened and we will fix it.
How do I request a printable? ▾
Use the contact page and tell us what you are looking for. Requests genuinely shape what gets made next, particularly when several people ask for the same thing.
